DURHAM, N.C., April 25, 2022 – Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club and JB Duke Hotel, the AAA Four Diamond hotel properties located on the campus of Duke University, today announced a variety of dining and entertainment options to complement commencement ceremony celebrations and Mother’s Day weekend gatherings, May 6-9.

The Inn’s award-winning Fairview Dining Room is offering a champagne celebration prix fixe menu on Sunday, May 8 from noon to 9 p.m., which includes choice of appetizer, entrée, dessert and a glass of sparkling wine or sparkling cider. JB Duke Hotel is hosting a celebration buffet at its MarketPlace Restaurant from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring popular dishes such as chef-carved prime rib, eggs benedict, roasted salmon, shrimp cocktail, and more.

Beautiful balloon arches designed by The BallonZ Shop, a locally-owned party goods store, will be on display at both properties to serve as cheerful backdrops for graduates, friends and families to capture photos together. Professional photographers are scheduled to take complimentary portraits for guests throughout the weekend, courtesy of the hotels.

Guests in the Fairview Dining Room will delight in live piano music on Friday night, Saturday during lunch and dinner service, and all day on Sunday. JB Duke Hotel is also offering live entertainment in the Lobby Lounge on Friday and Saturday evenings.

A la cart breakfast, lunch and dinner service offerings are available at each property. The Inn’s beloved Bull Durham Bar will open Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight for graduates and guests to enjoy a selection of cocktails and light bites, as well as Sunday from 10 a.m. to midnight.

The Fairview Dining Room and MarketPlace Restaurant are accepting dining reservations for commencement weekend and Mother’s Day via OpenTable.
