DURHAM, N.C., December 11, 2023 – The family of properties owned by Duke University, which include the AAA Four Diamond Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club and JB Duke Hotel, as well as The Lodge at Duke Medical Center, are accepting reservations for winter stays and seasonally inspired gourmet dining experiences to ring in the holiday season.

Known for its warm ambiance and signature décor that includes more than 20 stunning Christmas trees, the Inn is a beloved holiday destination for local families and their guests. Favorite seasonal activities include capturing family portraits in the Inn's beautifully decorated lobby, sipping hot chocolate or handcrafted cocktails by the cozy fireplace in Bull Durham Bar, and savoring thoughtfully crafted meals prepared by Area Executive Chef Troy Stauffer in the award-winning Fairview Dining Room.

Adding to the excitement of the season, the Inn and the JB Duke Hotel recently welcomed talented singers from the Durham Children’s Choir to experience the holiday décor and film a video to extend warm holiday wishes to guests and the local community. The Inn will host special events on Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Reservations for the following events are available via OpenTable or by calling 919-493-6699:

• Afternoon Tea: Now through January 1, 2024, expanded teatime reservations are available Wednesday through Sunday afternoons from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
• Christmas Eve: Fairview Dining Room is serving a Sugar Blum Brunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a prix fixe dinner from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
• Christmas Day: Fairview Dining Room is serving a four-course prix fixe menu from 1 to 8 p.m.
• New Year’s Eve: Fairview Dining Room is serving a four-course prix fixe dinner from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Bull Durham Bar will remain open until 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
