DURHAM, N.C., March 28, 2017 – JB Duke Hotel, North Carolina’s new, contemporary lodging destination located on the campus of Duke University, today announced it has been honored with the coveted Four Diamond rating from AAA.

After opening in January, the hotel received the prestigious rating within just 60 days of opening. A Four Diamond hotel is refined and stylish, providing upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities and a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail. Collectively, Four Diamond hotels account for 5.9 percent of the nearly 28,000 AAA approved hotels.

The full-service JB Duke Hotel and event space features a distinctly modern design with welcoming accommodations. It features 198 guestrooms, including 11 unique suites. The hotel also features the Thomas Executive Conference Center, 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space designed with a focus on hospitality, flexible event set up and adherence to the quality standards set by the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC).

The AAA Four Diamond rating is also a testament to JB Duke Hotel continuing the lineage of unapparelled service, gracious staff and attention to detail set by its father property, Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club. Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club also received the AAA Four Diamond rating this year, for the 17th consecutive time. The Fairview Dining Room on property also received the Four Diamond rating for the 25th consecutive year.
